This comes as a whole leaf which is slightly wiry, long and thin in character. The tea has a delicate fragrance with a bright coppery colour when brewed.
This is the largest and main tea grade of tea produced. This grade consists of bolder and slightly open leaf pieces. The colour of the liquor is much lighter and has a mild flavour.
This grade has leaves which are wiry and medium in length. They are golden in colour with a mild and malty character. It’s one of the best teas in the broken tea range.
An elegant tea, well rolled into a pearl shape which is grown on the low grown areas in Sri Lanka. It has a twisted and coarse leaf. When it's brewed, it has a combined hint of bitterness and sweetness, and it is rich in colour.
A similar style of tea, but smaller in size than the Pekoe. The tea has a delicate fragrance with a bright coppery colour when it brewed.
This grade has a delicate, long, wiry leaf. It has a light liquor and a refined taste that adds to its high quality and rich colour.
